Santo Domingo is a fabulous mix of 16th century dwellings, imposing late medieval palaces and fortresses, set amidst a refreshing grid of non-geometric streets. The city was recognized as the cradle of European civilization in the New World and UNESCO has declared the Colonial City a world heritage site.
To start this tour we pick you up early in the morning with a certified guide directly to your hotel. We offer you a comfortable vehicle to transfer you to the meeting point where a bus awaits you to begin the adventure. Here our guide will give you all the pertinent information to complete our tour in an orderly and safe way.
Prepare your ears and your camera so that you can enjoy the road views and receive important information about our history. Once you arrive, the first place to visit is the Colón’s Lighthouse and the palace of Alcazar de Colón, which are a Dominican monument and museum built in honor of Christopher Columbus.

It is important that you know that throughout the tour you will find shops and small local businesses where you can find gifts and Dominican crafts. After walking and getting to know the aforementioned attractions, we will share a delicious Dominican lunch, where you will learn more about our rich gastronomy.
Following this we will continue the tour of the Colonial City which is the central historic neighborhood of the Dominican Republic and within it is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo, an emblematic place better known as the First Cathedral of America, it was declared in 1546 the first cathedral in the New World by Pope Paul III.
Last but not least, we will visit the Altar de la Patria monument, where the remains of the three fathers of the Dominican homeland rest, and we will walk along Calle El Conde and Calle las Damas, which was the first street created in the Colonial City. Here you can observe the architecture and the predominant urbanism in those times.
We will finish by heading to the bus and taking the road back to your hotel.

Santo Domingo es una fabulosa mezcla de viviendas del siglo XVI, imponentes palacios y fortalezas medievales tardías, en medio de una refrescante cuadrícula de calles no geométricas. La ciudad fue reconocida como la cuna de la civilización europea en el Nuevo Mundo y la UNESCO ha declarado la Ciudad Colonial como patrimonio de la humanidad.
Para iniciar este tour te recogemos temprano en la mañana con un guía certificado directamente a tu hotel. Te ofrecemos un cómodo vehículo para trasladarte al punto de reunión donde un bus te espera para comenzar la aventura. Aquí nuestro guía te dará toda la información pertinente para que llevemos todo a cabo de forma ordenada y segura.
Prepara tus oídos y tu cámara para que disfrutes por carretera de las vistas y de información importante sobre nuestra historia. Una vez llegados, el primer lugar a visitar es el Faro a Colón y el Alcázar de Colón, los cuales son monumento y museo dominicano construidos en honor a Cristóbal Colón.

Es importante que sepas que durante todo el tour encontrarás tiendas y pequeños comercios locales donde podrás encontrar regalos y manualidades dominicanas. Luego de caminar y conocer los atractivos antes mencionados, compartiremos un delicioso almuerzo dominicano, donde conocerás más de nuestra rica gastronomía.
Seguido a esto continuaremos el recorrido por la Ciudad Colonial que es el barrio histórico central de la República Dominicana y dentro de la misma se encuentra La Catedral de Santo Domingo, un lugar emblemático mejor conocido como la Catedral Primada de América, fue declarada en 1546 la primera catedral del Nuevo Mundo por el Papa Pablo III.
Por último, pero no menos importante, visitaremos el monumento Altar de la Patria, lugar donde descansan los restos de los tres padres de la patria dominicana y caminaremos por la calle El Conde y La Calle las Damas, la cual fue la primera calle creada en la Ciudad Colonial. Aquí podrás observar la arquitectura y urbanismo predominante en esos tiempos.
Finalizamos dirigiéndonos al bus de regreso a su hotel.
